THE ROTARY CLUB OF WHITBY DONATES FAMILY PPE KITS

As the need within our community continues to rise so does community support in so many different areas. The friends that we serve have been asking if we have any PPE, hand sanitizer, masks etc to give out.  The opportunity presented itself to speak of that need with the Rotary Club of Whitby.   That put into motion a whole series of conversations. The members of the club quickly banded together and this week donated PPE kits to be given out to people in need in the community.

“I am so amazed at the generosity individuals have shown during the COVID-19 crisis. It gives me hope to see the good in people,”  says Major Donette Percy, Community Ministries Officer.  The Salvation Army in Whitby is giving back daily to the community in which we live with an incredible pace trying to meet rising need,” she said. “The impact of these days spread to the whole community, and we are part of that community.”  We are in this together as The Salvation Army  will continue to offer hope.
