“Yay Cupcakes”! ” Look mommy its cupcakes.” For you and I that may not seem like anything exciting or its the norm for us in having a special sweet available. That little boy was extremely excited to dig his teeth into that cupcake. ( I’m sure the sugar rush would kick in later) However, for some, a cupcake is a pleasure not yet experienced. Many who access the food bank have differing needs and circumstances where, yes, a simple cupcake brings a smile. I was reminded that its sometimes the simple things in life that can be taken for granted. So, the next time we indulge in a cupcake , stop and think about its simple pleasure, enjoy the moment and give thanks.
